Engr. (Alh) Kayode Ibrahim AKIODE (FNSE), a Chartered Engineer (R7745) and Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE 09061) studied Civil Engineering and graduated from the University of Benin in 1990. He obtained a Master’s Degree in Engineering Management (MEM) from the University of Port-Harcourt in 1999.
He started his working career in 1992 after completing his National Youth Service in Jos, Plateau State where he worked as the Project Engineer in charge of the Naka Earth Dam in Benue State and later constructed the official residence of the General Manager of the Benue River Basin Development Authority.
He joined TotalEnergies EP Nigeria Limited (then Elf Petroleum Nigeria Ltd) in May 1993 as Civil Works Engineer and rose steadily to become the Executive General Manager in Charge of Development projects. He has executed several multi billion dollars oil & gas project for the company amongst which are the Amenam Gas Project, OML58 Upgrade & O.U.R Projects, Northern Option Pipeline project and recently the Egina Project. He worked in several countries including but not limited to France and Malaysia as expatriate.
An Alumni of France’s ENSPM (Ecole Nationale Superieur de Petrolier et Management) and UK’s Cranfield University, he enjoys sharing knowledge and have taken time to teach Project Management to Graduate Students of the University of Port-Harcourt IPS (Institute of Petroleum Studies).
A permanent student of knowledge, his hobbies include travelling, reading and nature watching. He is married to Olufunke Akiode and they are blessed with 4 children.
