LEMU INSTITUTE OF ARABIC AND ISLAMIC STUDIES

About

LEMU Institute of Arabic and Islamic Studies has been established since 2012 and has grown significantly over the years.

The Institute has become a pillar of the local and surrounding communities with its Islamic ethos.

The Institute, as the name implies, is an avenue where both old and young learn about Islamic sciences and Arabic language.

The Madrasah has children and adult classes that start by 9:00 a.m. and close by 1:00 p.m. every weekend (Saturdays and Sundays).

The children section has Pre-basic and Basic classes.

Pre-basic classes are for children who are between 2 and 3 years old. They cover a period of one academic session (one year of two semesters).

Basic classes are for children who are above 3 years old. They cover a period of five (5) years. At this stage, students should be able to read, write and understand the messages of the Holy Qur’an. They should have memorised a large portion of the Qur’anand Hadeeth, and understand Islamic jurisprudence on acts of worship with excellent manners in relating with others.

Relationship with Parents

At LEMU Madrasah, we value the positive relationship forged with parents and visitors to the Institute. We encourage close links with parents and the community and believe that students benefit when the relationship between home and school is positive.
